Youth Confirmation

At St. Paul Lutheran Church, Confirmation is a special time of spiritual growth and learning for young members, typically ranging from 7th to 9th grade. This program is designed to help students deepen their understanding of the Christian faith, prepare for a lifelong journey with God, and take on a more active role in the life of the church.

Here’s what the confirmation journey looks like at St. Paul Lutheran:

Learning the Foundations of Faith:

Confirmation students engage in a structured learning program where they study the Bible, the teachings of Martin Luther, and the core beliefs of the Lutheran faith. This includes understanding the Ten Commandments, the Apostles' Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion), and what it means to live as a follower of Christ.

Building Relationships:

Students work closely with the pastor and other leaders, often meeting in small groups for discussion and reflection. These sessions not only provide a safe space to ask questions and wrestle with big ideas but also foster strong relationships with peers, mentors, and the broader church community.

Service and Involvement:

Throughout the confirmation process, students participate in service projects, helping them put their faith into action and learn the importance of serving others. They also become more involved in church life, assisting with worship, volunteering at events, and participating in fellowship activities.

A Personal Faith Journey:

Confirmation is a time for students to explore their personal faith and make it their own. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the promises made at their baptism and prepare to affirm those promises publicly before the congregation. The culmination of the program is Confirmation Sunday, where students publicly affirm their faith and become full members of the church.

Confirmation at St. Paul Lutheran Church is about much more than learning facts—it's about growing in faith, building community, and preparing for a lifelong relationship with God. It’s an exciting and meaningful chapter in the spiritual life of young people, and we’re here to guide and support them every step of the way!
